Job Overview
Job Purpose:
The Client is looking for a Caretaker/Driver who will be maintaining a high level of general cleanliness, general maintenance and upkeep, ensuring a friendly and efficient service to the public. Driving duties and other services to support the activities of the Section in keeping with the Council’s aims and values.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cleaning the entire premises including main rooms, stairways, passages, cloakrooms, toilets, offices, internal widows etc. Use all industrial/powered cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance to with manufacturer’s guidelines and Health and Safety regulations of COSHH manual.
- As the main keyholder you have responsibility for ensuring that the Centre is opened and locked as required as responding to callouts as and when available.
- Report to the Line Manager, or other designated supervisor on damages, loss, repairs, etc, to the building and other defects to ensure the continued safe running of the centre.
- Remove graffiti and debris from around the outside of the premises, to preserve the appearance of the building and maintain a tidy site. To keep clean, brush and litter pick the grounds surrounding the premises on a regular basis.
